Throwing Day for beginners Cost: £115 Spaces: Maximum of 5 participants Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm (includes a 30-minute lunch break) A full day of focused, hands-on throwing practice — perfect for beginners or those at the beginning of their wheel throwing journey. You’ll be expertly guided by ceramic artist Petra Wright, who brings a wealth of knowledge and a calm, supportive teaching style to the studio. If you have a pacemaker, or other similar implanted medical device, please consult with your cardiologist for advice as pottery wheels can cause potentially disruptive magnetic fields. Kelly Moore Ceramics cannot be held liable for any resulting incident or personal injury caused by using the wheels in this instance. Included in the cost: High-quality stoneware clay Make up to 8 pieces on the wheel Tea, coffee & biscuits to keep you going After the session, your pieces will be carefully trimmed, bisque fired, glazed in a glaze of your choice, and high-fired. Work will be ready for collection with 4-6 weeks. Lunch: Feel free to bring a packed lunch or pre-order something delicious from the on-site café when you arrive. End of session: At the end of the day, everyone will help clean tools, wheels, and tidy the studio Cancellation Policy: We are not able to offer full refunds unless the class, workshop or taster session you have booked is cancelled. If you cannot attend and you cancel your booking less than 14 days before the session we might be able to offer you a refund, if we can fill your space with another student. A booking fee of 7% is non-refundable.
