Service Description

Saturday 6th September 2025 (10am-12) Sunday 5th October 2025 (10am) Join us for a hands-on pottery workshop led by guest artist Fiona Swepson, where you'll craft your own unique curiosity shelf and miniature treasures! This creative session is ideal for all skill levels. Workshop Details: What You’ll Make: A hand built wall hanging shelf and three small creations to nestle inside —think charming characters, tiny houses, playful cacti, or anything your imagination desires! Techniques Covered: Slab building and hand modelling. Session 1: Learn to shape, decorate, and assemble your pieces. Glazing Session: Return on Sunday 5th October to add colour and personality to your work as you glaze your creations, ready for their final kiln firing. Sessions will last 1-2 hours depending on glazing choices. Important Notes: Materials Provided: All clay, tools, and glazes are supplied. Just bring your designs and creativity! Collection: Pieces will be ready to pick up within 4 weeks after the glazing session. Assembly: You’ll be responsible for stringing and hanging your finished pieces after the course. Please note that (no alternative dates given). Terms and Conditions By booking or attending a session, class, or workshop, and by using any of our services, you agree to the Terms and Conditions. If there aren't enough participants, the course will be cancelled, and all payments refunded. To book a spot, visit the workshops page on our website. No refunds will be given for cancellations. Health and safety guidelines will be provided on-site, but you are responsible for your own safety. We are not liable for any accidents. Courses are for ages 16 and over. To minimise environmental impact and due to limited shelf and kiln space, the number of pieces that can be fired is specified per course. Refer to the course description for details. Items with excessive or improperly applied glaze that might damage the kiln will not be fired. Follow the tutor’s guidance to avoid issues. Participants must clean their workspace and any studio areas used after each class to maintain good studio practice and reduce clay dust. Pieces are ready for collection within weeks 4 after the class, depending on the firing schedule and drying conditions. We will hold your pieces for 6 weeks after notifying you to collect them; after this time, they may be donated or disposed of.
